Yolanda Gartside - Owner

I started grooming as a teenager to clean up my many rescue dogs—my best friends—and to make them look cute. I’ve always loved animals and always wanted to work with them. Early on I worked with veterinarians and spent many years breeding and competitively training Siberian Huskies for show in the 1970s and 1980s.

I’ve been a professional groomer since the early 1990s and opened my business in 1996. My favorite part of grooming is getting to know each animal’s personality and seeing the end result: a dog that looks beautiful, a dog that is happy, and an owner who is happy. I especially love helping pets who are scared; calming them, getting them through the grooming, and watching them relax and enjoy the experience by the end.

I pride myself on not turning away dogs that are in poor condition or who are misunderstood and frightened. To me, being a true animal lover means understanding those animals and having the heart and patience to help them.

Jose-Luis -Groomer

I have over 10 years of experience in dog grooming. I have always loved animals, and Yolanda saw my passion and recognized that grooming was the right career path for me. She was right.

Working with animals brings me joy and satisfaction—their unconditional love and gentle nature inspire me every day. I value my work at Yolanda's Mobile Pet Grooming because it allows me to help dogs who have been turned away by other groomers due to stress, anxiety, or misunderstandings. For these clients I offer patience, a gentle approach, and the experience needed to restore their comfort and well-being.

JD - Groomer

I've been grooming off and on for the past 24 years. I grew up in my best friend's mother's grooming shop; every day after school I would go in and her mother would teach me since I was a young child. I have always had a deep passion for animals. When people asked, "What do you want to do when you grow up?" I would always answer, "I want to take care of animals!"

My favorite part of being a dog groomer is transforming a scruffy dog—or a dog in need of some good TLC—into a beautiful piece of artwork. I love seeing how proud the pup looks and watching the owner's reaction when they see how their pet looks and feels.

Hello! I’m the face behind the voice you may hear when calling to book an appointment or for payments. I have worked with YMPG for nearly 15 years. I enjoy all the tasks that go along with running an office. From speaking with clients to accounting, billing and system maintenance. The work I do is always fun and interesting! I am also an animal lover, and the proud owner of a tiny Pomeranian named “Kitty.”

Growing up in a family dedicated to animal care, I learned early on that every pet deserves patience, kindness, and plenty of love. For over 10 years, I've been helping families by providing dog walking, pet sitting, and in-home care for pets of all kinds—from dogs and cats to birds, reptiles, and even farm animals. I treat every home with respect and every pet like they're my own, so you can relax knowing your furry (or feathered or scaled!) family members are safe, happy, and well cared for while you're away.
